Ride Camp Information (return to menu) Camp is in a large grassy field surrounded by forest in the middle of the Gifford-Pinchot National Forest. It’s about four miles north of the huckleberry smoothies ? in Trout Lake. From the south end of camp there are spectacular views of Mt. Adams. Main camp will be based in the middle of the field. Horse water is available but bring people water. You’ll need to bring your own corrals. The forest service requests you do not tie horses to the trees in the field (obviously, during the ride and tie, you may tie to the trees on the trail!). The Mt. Adams Horse Camp is located in one corner of this field. There are 12 sites with picnic tables, toilets (but not people water), high-ties (no corrals), and horse water. If you want a spot in the Mt. Adams Horse Camp, it is available on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need to pay the regular forest service permit fee. The forest service mandates that all feed is certified weed seed free (WSF). Please be sure your hay is certified. We will have some for sale at site. If you’re planning on just getting it from us, you might want to call to reserve a few bales just to be sure. Just email number of bales to Steph Irving at sirving@gorge.net. Dogs are welcome but please keep them leashed.
